Our Impact

Since 2020, FBCO has made measurable, lasting contributions to education, peacebuilding, and humanitarian response across Ethiopia.

Since its establishment, FBCO has implemented impactful humanitarian and development initiatives across Ethiopia, reaching conflict-affected and underserved communities. We have supported hundreds of students and schools, strengthened community resilience through psychosocial support, enhanced women's participation in local governance, and responded rapidly to humanitarian needs. While we are proud of these achievements, we recognize that much more remains to be done as we continue to scale our impact through stronger partnerships and community-centered programming.

Key Achievements

Established a Mobile Reading Center in Gambella Region to improve access to education and learning resources.

Distributed educational materials including computers, books, and teaching supplies to schools across Ethiopia.

Built a comprehensive education support system in Arsi Negele, Oromia Region.

Provided school rehabilitation, educational support, and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services to conflict-affected communities in North Wollo, Amhara Region.

Supported advocacy initiatives related to the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission proclamation at the House of Peoples’ Representatives.

Implemented women-led peacebuilding and conflict resolution programs under the Civil Society Support Programme Phase 2 (CSSP2).

Strengthened women's participation in local peacebuilding and governance mechanisms in conflict-affected communities.
